GE Healthcare – Vial Filling Machine – EPC
Background
GE Healthcare is the $19 billion healthcare business of GE. GE is a leading provider of medical imaging, monitoring, biomanufacturing and cell and gene therapy technologies.
Solution
HFL were awarded an EPC project for a bespoke replacement vial filling machine. The filling liquid was a radioactive isotope which required significant shielding from operators and maintenance personnel. Haden Freeman, along with a partner, provided the design and build of the machine and HFL wrote, tested, commissioned and validated the software and plant.
